That's because WBAC are (allegedly) a bunch of shysters. Rumour has it they're owned by CarCrap and put anything they can polish up in their showroom and run the rest through an auction, or possibly weigh in if the money is right.

Sadly Parker's Guide is about as efficient as a three legged, asthmatic tortoise that's been nailed to the floor, ditto a certain internet auction site. Imho the best way to gauge a vehicle's price is somewhere like Autotrader.

Do I need to get the spray plaster out?
The WBAC near us is lovely we did get quoted on my old car when we got there to get a "real" valuation they paid lots lots more for it more than they were selling for on e-bay and privately perhaps it might have helped that I went and fluttered my eye lashes lots and I refused to pay the "fees" too

This is the sort of thing I get described by some people who call me as a small dent that will just push out.

If that is a Ford wouldn't that push out fairly easily?

Anyone else get caught out by those old scams? You put an ad in local rag or somewhere and in no time flat you get a call from someone saying 'send us 40 quid and we will put your car on our database until it sells' which they may very well do but no-one gets to see their database so it never sells. They keep the 40 quid tho'.

It certainly would not, in fact to put that right will likely need a new 1/4 panel, double skinned, braced etc.

I am just using it as an example of how people describe cars and why WBAC often need to drop back off of their original offer.

For those of who may be interested, I hear BCA has bought them in the UK.
