This is a complete wreck..... And yet, I am drawn to it!

And I don't know why.

It has the original paint work, etc and I imagine that after getting rid of all that rust (which admittedly would probably affect the surviving paint in places) and replacing the wheels, it would make a nice old, if slightly demic bike. If not, it could yield some parts as I have my own Humber.

To be honest, I just want to give that saddle a bit of much needed TLC!!

The embarrassing thing and the whole point of this thread is that, despite learning all of this before, I have forgotten if that would be a pre or post 1932 example.

It is an overpriced rust bucket ready for the scrapyard, yes, and yet....:

Didn't look too bad to me, apart from that Brooks (definitely 'kippered')

I would love to get that Brooks, smother it in proofide, leave it for a while to fully soak in and then come back to polish it up and see what it is like!

Did that with the saddle on 'Clive' (which admittedly wasn't as bad) and it came up a treat. Yes, it has that shabby chic look about it, but it looks like a saddle with a long and colourful life!
