This is serious touring

I went out for a ride this morning and after a while saw a man and wife team with touring bikes which were fully loaded, they were French and had been travellng for several months. Next I came across a Korean male who was fitted out with a really nice touring bike (don't know the make) and a full set of panniers for'd and aft. He also had a bar bag and then there was of course the GPS and global mobile phone. The carriers etc. were not ones I recognised but they looked realy top quality, so probably Korean. He had started the trip 7 months ago in Northern China and was now heading for Laos..........................did I feal jealous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know what you mean, Keith. I read crazyguy journals and feel envy. In truth anyone could do it but you have to reorganise your life and take the consequences.
