The bugs will be, errm, a real bugger next year. I try not to use sprays other than for specific pests (viburnum beetle, asparagus beetle) but green and black fly are likely to be rampant next year unless we get a very cold spell in the new year.
I think we will get a cold spell . The seasons seem to be getting later and later every year , never this late though !

I get the impression that most of us are now dreading having to pay later for this exceptional spell of weather.

Where are you?
Lincolnshire. In a valley, not sure in which direction that makes a difference. P S had far more tomatoes this year than normal.
A/ a little bit more tomatoes plants than normal.
B/ The planting of tumbling tom. Superb plant although the yellow was better than the reds.

Quite happy its still so mild. Makes the early commute enjoyable rather than freezing my .... off and spending half the morning trying to warm up again

I like proper seasons. Hot and dry (and sun) in the summer. Cold and snow (and sun) in the winter. Mild is wet, dull and grey.

I would gladly move. Greyness is death for me.

I also need the sea to swim in, and boat about.

Where?

I'm not saying i'd move right now as we are on a good number here in Norway with two small kids. I just want adventure on the doorstep. Is it too much to ask for?

This mild weather is a GOOD thing? I don't think so! Up here it's constantly grey, wet, and worst of all is the wind. This must be the windiest year ever. Today - again- 40+ mph south westerlies. It has hardly let up for the whole of 2015.
Give us a long cold spell with some sunshine and calm breezes. It's so much better than this depressing GREYNESS!

Edit.... Tomorrows forecast 50+ mph winds, Tuesday 40+, Wednesday 60+, Thursday 40+. Take your mild weather and shove it where the sun doesn't shine (I think that's exactly what they HAVE done!). No cycling at all so far in December, and I think I was out twice in November. The longer it goes on, the less fit I become, and the less likely I am to get back on a bike again. No wonder cyclists are a very rare sight in these parts. Mojo rapidly disappearing here....

Today's independent has bods who've sent in photos of plants in flower, including a cyclamen with the caption "CRAZY GLOBAL WARMING ITS MENTAL WHATS GOING ON I BLAME ALL THEM POCKET CALCULATORS!"

Cyclamen are supposed to be out in December you fool.

I normally overdress because I don't like being cold and/or wet. But yesterday evening I went out with a shirt over my ubiquitous t-shirt instead of a jumper and my lightweight walking jacket instead of my winter walking jacket. I was still carrying my jacket most of the time when walking between pubs! Today is sunny, but it's been dull and grey most days this week. Fecking horrible.
