Married to Night Train
Salford, UK I walked past the Art Gallery, before it opened, it sounded like their fire alarm was going off - one of those two tone sirens (we have one the same here at King's Manor). No sign of fire or evacuating staff, I assume it was a test, or fault.

What amused me was the postman calming pushing their mail through the letter box. I just had this idea that the mail must be delivered, even if the building's possibly burning down...

…rather like the bloke i once saw wearing a council uniform and calmly using a leaf blower in conditions that were blowy to say the least. i imagine he thought something along the lines of "leafblowing is it? oh well, that's what it says on the jobsheet so what do i care if it's pointless?".
