Couldn't sleep after waking at 4am. So after watching some triathlon on telly, I figured if they can do it in the winter rain, I'm outta here! So I got up, necked a bowl of oats and did 28 miles round Lymm, Dunham Massey, Partington and High Legh.
Was a lovely though bloody cold morning... Disturbed a clan of guinea fowl on the road, who went scuttling off into a field, bleating away cutely. Also crossed paths with a couple of partridge and a young adult hare (only my second ever).
Had a big warm grin on my face when I walked into the office, and even better, someone had got the cakes in so I've been feasting on chocolate torte, New York cheesecake and fruit loaf ever since!
