....been on holiday doing house maintenance. I have:
Removed from the roof three buckets full of the moss that's eating into the mortar. Cleaned out the gutters and washed the fascias to remove all the spider poo. Cut the grass and trimmed the edges. Sharpened the garden shears and my two log splitting axes. Fitted a new door to Gti junior's room, sanded and given it three coats of satin varnish, rubbing down between coats. Removed a redundant satellite dish from high up on the gable end. Re-sealed around two window frames on the same gable end. Weed-killered the entire front gravel parking area. Replaced a vinyl floor/wall edge strip under the family urinal made manky where Gti junior has dribbled on it. Fitted new brake blocks to Gti junior's Islabike. Generally vacuumed, cleaned, polished and fettled different bits of the house and windows. Visited suppliers to discuss and cost the bits for my DIY solar panel project. Removed the alloy wheels off the car, polished out the oxide spots and re-lacquered.
...and found time to sleep, drink some beer, cook a couple of meals, gas with the neighbours and go out riding the mountain bike with Gti junior. Not bad for a week! I will feel justified in going out for a big ride with my buddy on Sunday.
