Thompson Twins

Discussion in 'CycleChat Cafe' started by Rhythm Thief, 10 Feb 2008.

  1. My girlfriend cleared her stuff out of the loft at her parents' house yesterday. In the boxes was a Thompson Twins cassette. She's playing it now. I haven't heard them since I was at school and it's transported me back about 25 years just like that! Anyone else remember them? Not a bad band, actually.

  2. I have the album on CD. Heard it for the first time in years a month or so ago. Pretty top stuff.:biggrin:

Was it called Into The Gap?

Think I had that on cassette once upon a time.

Ah, this has prompted another '80s trawl on YouTube! Love on your side, Sisters of Mercy, it's all there.

Depeche Mode bring back some old memories too.

I did the same on Friday night. Started off on Depeche Mode and went onto various other Vince Clark collaborations. He is a very talented pop songwriter.

Thomson twins were rubbish though

  15. I had an '80s session at the gym this morning.

Simple Minds - New Gold Dream
    Japan
Tears for Fears - The Hurting

I was in that kind of mood today.
