Members of the Fell & Rock (including such legends as Don Whillans & Joe Brown) would regularly cycle down on a Friday night from Manchester to Snowdonia, ....

It wasn't just the blokes either - bicycles were how the women of the Pinnacle club used to get to Snowdonia and their hut.

Like someone said, men were men and so were the women
