Awww, and they seened mostly right or at least arguable up until that point! On two bikes with the same size wheels, the chainstay length is going to make a tiny difference to turning circle which is going to make a tiny difference to how manoeuvrable it is - it will handle differently, but chainstay length alone will not make it much more or less stable. Head tube angle, trail, handlebar and stem choice will all make more difference. However, short chainstays will much more restrict fitting of guards and panniers.
