Be in no hurry to part with that amount of money, looks a good bike but know for me i would (if buying new) be looking at a caad 13 disc, just some thing i would consider?
Now I'm torn between the high quality Decathlon v Dolan - assuming I forget the Disc option (fair weather rider!) this Dolan seems a no brainer for under £1k...(also dependant on whether they are building new large versions)
Discs, really don't get too worried. Heavier and uglier, and maybe stop you better on a road bike. I mainly ride a disc braked MTB with really good 4 pots, and haven't really seen the need on a road bike - I could lift the back wheel braking on my pannier laden work bike with rim brakes. Discs are great for a foul weather bike as braking is better, and you aren't eating the rims away, but a fair weather cyclist, don't get too worried about the option.
