Threading brake cable through handle bar

Hello all

Am trying to figure out how to detach the brake cables from each of the shifter/ brake mechanisms.

I have this new wide handle bar that has holes in it designed to run the brake cables through it.

You might be best off running new cables entirely as the process will be the same, and because you are now running the cables through the handlebars you may find that the cable lengths are different from previously.

That being said you may be able to reuse the existing cables - a good video guide on this can be found below.
