Some thunder and lightening here this morning and I got really soaked with the heavy rain. However the temperture is still in the low 30's so really it made the commute refreshing, except that the water running across the road must have washed something sharp under my tyre and a flat happened!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We've had storms off and on for a few days now. It's made getting the miles in a bit difficult, trying to gauge if it looks like rain in the next few hours! Got it wrong big time yesterday and got drenched. Fortunately, it's warm so not so bad. The sun comes out, the roads steam and you dry - then it tips down again! Repeat cycle until end of ride!

I love summer storms...thunder lightening...summer rain...cant beat it...always sleep best in a thunder storm...and I love walking through them...but it has to be really hot and humid
....reckon alu carbon bikes must be safer to ride in a storm like that as well...unlike those big heavy non poofy steel MTBs:
