The fascination with this non-story should pay testament to the dire age that we are live in: indeed the general public's maturity is inversley proportional to the advancement of their nation. Tiger Woods is a golfer, like others in his position, what happens in their personal life is their own business. What I cannot stand is this envy-bourne sense of self-righteousness that because one earns a lot and is famous, it remains that the piller of our democrascy should involve having an Orweillian hold upon every move they make.

I really couldn't care what any celebrity got up to, so long as it did not involve them partakign in any malicious acts where it would be of detriment to the public. Strangley enough, these are the stories which often go unchecked by our purveyours of the truth, in place for tat and the ususal disingenous articles aimed at scapegoating.

Wake up.

And the cry is "fore, play" - not "wake up" dear chap.

I understood that his wife was worried that he might catch his death of cold when the water from the hydrant started filling the cab of the 4x4 Tiger was driving. The temperature was dropping drastically and the tabloids would have jumped on it: "Can't see the Woods for the freeze". The 'other woman' called him "Easy Tiger" and Jack Nickerless was offering what support he could.

BUM BUM said Tigers conquest/s to him

I agree that he becomes to a certain extent public property these days but just because he wants to maximise his earnings by endorsing anything and everything doesn't mean that the press have a right to indulge in tabloid speculation over his marital state, IMO.

Oh yes they do! (Well it is pantomime season ;))

This gem from Jesper Parnevik. .When you break the golfing code it's a serious matter..

'I would be especially sad about it – I really feel sorry for Elin – since me and my wife were at fault for hooking her up with him," Parnevik said. "We probably thought he was a better guy than he is. I probably would have to apologise to her and hope she uses a driver next time rather than a three-iron, I would say.
"It's a private thing of course but when you are the guy he is, the world's best athlete, you should think more before you do stuff," he added.

I couldn't care less what they do either but I find it surprising that you can only see reactions as envy driven. I view it a little like our taxes, I don't like everything it gets spent on and feel justified in complaining about abuses. If you can suggest some way that I can avoid any of my income going to the likes of Woods, without removing myself from modern life, please let me know?

I don't understand how one of the most recognisable people on the planet thinks he can sneak around and won't get found out.

Mind you even Stevie Wonder got away with cheating for a while - how the hell....
