Yes I've had a rethink. I would be better off getting wheels for the bike I have because other than it being cheap, fundamentally its still a bike and it moves forward. I really can't complain about anything else. Maybe it's the Shiny shiny effect of a new one.

I will get new wheels, lose weight, get the bike I really want. I'm still convinced that it's a roadrat or CdF is what I will buy, probably the RR because of the versatility. In the meantime I can go for it on my cheap bike and not be too downhearted if something else breaks. It's at least cheap to replace cheap components!

Thanks

Heh, a challenger appears.

Chaps at Cotic came back to me and can ship me a bike next week without wheels. Just seeing about a price. That throws a spanner in a bit!

Wouldn't a bike with wheels be better?

Flippancy aside, you really shouldn't have a problem with the stock wheels on a decent bike like that.

So this has been bothering me pretty much constantly for two days. I've changed my mind, again. Going for shiny shiny and built wheels. Problem solved.

Hopefully I will be ordering a Alfine based Roadrat (in Orange mmmm) tomorrow.
