Hi all
Ok, so I have been humming and harring over which 'sportive' style bike to go for for too long now. I am signed up to do the L2P in late July and need a bike!
I do have (and use) a Scott Scale mtb, but this just won't do, and to be honest I enjoy getting out on the road and eating up 50/60 miles in an afternoon (or sometimes a bit longer...)
I have decided that I am going down the fleabay/gumtree route as I love a bargain and can spend up to £1000
A few I've got my eye on;
Van Nicholas Mistral
Spec Roubaix - don't want Sora though
Some kind of Planet X
Some kind of Dolan
Some kind of Ribble
Cube Peleton
Giant Defy
Problem is there is soooo much choice and I am baffling myself a tad. It needs to be min 58cm frame as I am 6,1 1/2" with long monkey arms. I don't want Sora and want light frame (carbon or ti?)
Anyways, I'm sure there will be a few reading this post that have been in same position so any help will be massively appreciated!
Oh, one more thing.. I suffer from 'slipped disks' in lower back, so the more relaxed the geometry the better.
I am looking to make a purchase over the next 7 days also.
Many thanks in advance
:-)
