Found this on the rim of my Mavic Ksyrium Elite rear wheel yesterday

I am wondering if it is time to watch what I eat a little more :hungry:

Not too delighted to have a crack in the rim of the wheel. It has probably covered around 3,000 miles.

Got to love my LBS though, I contact them about sourcing a replacement rim and getting it fitted. They asked how old the wheel was and told me there was a 2 year warranty with Mavic wheels and to contact who I bought it from. That saves me some money then - thank you Life Cycle UK.

I bought the rim online (before I discovered Life Cycle) from Velo Ecosse, I spoke to them and they were very helpful. The rim is now on it's way to them and it will them go to Mavic for replacement. Fingers crossed in a week or two I will have a new rear rim and the bike will be back up and running.

So good service from two bike shops.

Had a similar issue with a Marin Fairfax frame. Both chain stays snapped after going into a pothole. Marin replaced it free of charge and paid the LBS to transfer all the kit over to the new frame.
