In case you didn't see it and it's not listed elsewhere. It's pretty rare that an internet persona, particularly relating to something like cycling gets an obituary in The Times.

It took them a while but a nice tribute all the same and an opportunity to leave a comment on a national newspaper site.

Rather ironic in that he thought charity bike rides were a bad idea!

Stumbled across this older thread by mistake - I have used the Sheldon Brown website for several bike problems / answers.

Still relatively new here - never realised he was dead or who he was, what he did.

I still see posts by more experienced cyclists referencing his website.

Maybe by posting this reply it'll let some less knowledgable cyclists know about him. The link to "timesonline" by "twowheelsgood" is well worth a read.

I'm amazed that Times article is still available 8 or 9 months after it was written.

Some of them are there for years. The puzzles, which you're now supposed to pay for, are certainly hanging around there.

It was from 2008, so a bit longer than that.

I didn't see it first time around. Checked his site for some stuff recently, didn't know that he had died.
