As soon as I saw this thread (about 1 minute ago) my first thought was of Magic the cockatiel. I remember him/her from what must be about 1990/91 when I worked in an old folks home and the residents watched Timmy Mallet on morning Tv. If I remember rightly, Magic's cage was like the one I kept my two Lovebirds in, in the late 1980's/early 90's. The cage was called The Crystal Palace as it was designed on the building destroyed by fire in 1936.
