Cheers Blue - it took 13 days in the end, we had a support vehicle which made the whole think much easier and more enjoyable, a good gentlemanly effort! One kid we met leaving land's End was carrying all his clobber and his food cos he was a celiac, the bike weighed more than all ours put together. Then the bastard went and beat us to John O Groats by an hour!

Isn't that area also known as the 'barse', as it's neither the balls nor the arse.

I've used both Sudocrem and Assos and would swear by Assos every time.

...also known as 'the chinrest' or the 'notcher'.....

But seriously, another vote for Assos. I've also seen a new anti-chaffing gel from Lanacane being advertised recently, maybe worth giving a go.
