hello one and all,

I've a problem i need advice on...

I have a puncture on my rear wheel, i know how to repair punctures but the outer tire seems to be sealed to the rim, which means i can't (yet) get to the inner tube ... i didn't want to force anything in case i cause more damage (although my frustration did almost tempt me into getting a stanley knife and hoping for the best!)

do any of you kind folks have the answer?

ps. i have Jalco AX430/SSD 36* double wall alloy rims and
26x1.95 Kenda Komodo tires if that helps?

It won't be sealed on, but sometimes they stick to the rim a bit if they've not been off in a while.

Let the tyre down completely by prodding the valve, then give the tyre casing a good squeeze, pushing it away from the rim. It should come unstuck fairly easily.

You shouldn't have to use any tools, let alone a Stanley knife! If it's really stuck, easing a tyre lever between the tyre bead and rim and pushing it around might help.
