Tires for London to Paris

No, not me, but a friend is doing this trip given my distinct lack of motivation.

The current bike is a Giant of sorts, and runs mudguards. I suspect it will take 25 or even 28cc at a pinch but am not sure.

My recommendation was going to be Continental 4 seasons, Gatorskins or Durano S. They will be used for commuting as well.

What would you folks recommend? I did think of M+ but there is quite a weight penalty.

Any of those, or the other Marathon variants, should do the trick...
