So I've made a shortlist of tires I'm willing to give a go.

Question is I can't choose between them. I need something fairly fairy resistant, long lasting, good on tough roads. Ideally with red. If you have used any of the following, what are the pros and cons of each of the ones listed below?

Mainly ride on London roads with the odd towpath action.

Tire Choices
2x 25mm Ultremo ZX Evo V Guard Red/Black
2x 25mm Ultremo DD Black
2x 25mm Durano S Red/Black
2x 25mm Lugano Red/Black

2x 25mm Pasela TourGuard Black
- This has been my standard tire for the last few years. Reliable, durable, fairy resistance, and good rolling resistance compared to it's rivals ie Marathon/London+. It's reasonably priced at around £22 each.

2x 25mm Rubino Pro 3 Red/Black or Black
2x 25mm Open Corsa EVO CX Red/Black
2x 25mm Fortezza TriComp Red/Black
2x 25mm Maxxis Detonator 57a/62a Kevlar Red/black

You might also consider Mitch Pro 4 Endurace or their predecessor Krylion Carbons; you'll have to shop around to find 25mm reds.

I don't know much about most of those, but I had red Duranos for about 3 months rear, 8 months front before they both got irrepairable (sp?) tears from broken glass. I would avoid them.

I now have Schwalbe Londons on my commuter, and they seem OK (have done around 1500 miles on the rear trouble free). I've had no issues with the rolling resistance compared to the Duranos.

I have Continental GP4000s on my faster bike, but < 1000 miles on them so far.

My Scwalbe London's have done a years commuting through the pot-holed, glass and crap strewn streets of SE London with only 1 puncture.

Great tyres. And Spa Cycles were selling them at £15 each....(goes off to check to see if they still are)

They are indeed..HERE

Ultremo, Durano and Open Corsa CX.

Ultremo are fast, Durano are heavy, and Corsa CX are the best tyres (clinchers) I have ever had the pleasure with. They will all puncture at some point. Although I have now done 2 500 miles on the Corsa without a puncture.

A lot of those coloured tyres you've listed aren't available in 25mm... you might want to recheck

I looked for black and red tyres in a 25mm for my Pearson a couple of years back -with no joy. Even the retailers who said they had stock didn't

Another vote for these - I've done about 4000 commuting miles on mine and (touch wood) no punctures!!
