How long is it going to last? High presssure in the north atlantic, west of Ireland, blocking warm fronts bringing in warmer SW winds and huge anti-cyclonic system over northern Europe and Russia dragging down freezing air from the Arctic. It's freezing. -1 tonight with strong N wind makes it feel about minus 10C.

Agreed - Friday morning's commute felt like a winters day. Some of the cars had snow on the roofs in Belfast !

Cold today? OK I'll admit I've been a fair weather commuter. But I have ridden in a few times since Xmas and generally its been bib shorts, short sleeves, reflective gilet and arm warmers, which have been removed during the ride.
Today I added in a long sleeve base layer under the short sleeves and the arm warmers stayed on all the way!
I was also regretting shaving my head this weekend, for the first couple of miles. That wind was whipping round in the rear of my helmet - talk about ice cream headaches!
The ride itself was generally pleasant and uneventful though. Only 'incident' being when on the approach to a red light a **** decides to race the final 20m, when we're both turning right. I'm in primary and he has to start his pass on the left to do it...

Lovely and sunny ride in this morning with virtually no wind, although a little cold just above freezing.
Only slightly interesting incident this morning was a cyclist in civvies on a road bike with spd's grinding along, almost thought about some SCR, as I was on the heavy hybrid, lots of points for me, but they RLJ'd.

Slightly off topic I spotted a fully-camera'd cyclist this morning on Regent Street, London (would've been around 8:15-8:20). Had about 3 on him. Looked like something from a sci-fi movie. Any of you guys?

Hmmm don't remember- had a very obvious plethora of technology around him though. I was in a yellow/orange t-shirt at the first set of lights after Swallow St. Noticing all the cameras I was very well behaved ;-)

cold on the way in this morning ....nice and sunny now but i bet it doesn't last......forecast for tomorrow looks dire...trying to do my first week full commute this week......i think i might not succeed if its that bad
