Lovely to see a newbie out enjoying the sun, however.....
1)Don't overtake another cyclist because he's eased past you whilst you're clearly struggling against the admittedly strong wind, then weave in front of him and immediately slow down because you're too knackered to keep your speed up.
2)It's rude and dangerous to do this three times in 200 yards.
3)Don't pull in front of the clearly much faster cyclist when he's waiting at traffic lights and then weave about all over the road whilst you pull away on the green light causing him to take evasive action.
4)Don't then expect said cyclist to engage you in polite conversation.
5)Don't filter down the inside (especially of white van man when he's indicating left at a junction) even if the lights are red at the moment.
6)Don't run red lights at that junction ever again. You were lucky today.
Please feel free to ask me about any other cycling matter in the future that you may be curious about. I will be happy to help you stay alive if you do me the same courtesy.
Here endeth the lesson.
