It's flooded again. In three places, the usual Fenstanton lakes stretch. It is pretty deep where there is the raised concrete hump for the drain so cannot even ride through this stretch like you can the others which are probably about 2-3 inches deep. More heavy rain is forecast thsi week so it may well become even more flooded. F*****g incompetence by Cambridgeshire Council.

HTH those of you who will use it tomorrow if you haven't already gone to bed. You can still walk along the top of the bank if that is what you did last time when it was flooded earlier in the year.

The GBW is, was, and always has been a complete heap of shite, and should have been a railway, at a tenth of the budget and a far greater chance of being some use.

I've heard the old railway wasn't immune to flooding either. As I remember the bits prone to flooding were built up for the buses with high banks(run off) leading down to the cycle/footpath, it could probably do with an alternative safe path on the bank for those months they expect it to flood and the odd freaky summer. I don't think they realised how popular the cycle route would be!
