replacing the element in my fan oven. Saved £70 compared to the last time when I paid for someone to do it.

I even drilled a hole in the fan blade before I put it back so next time I don't have to remove the fan to get at the third bolt in the half-moon element. Isn't google great?

Now all I need do is clean it before I make sausage rolls and canapés before the club festive tea tomorrow.

Yes, Google is brilliant. I have never had cause to use it, but somewhere out there is a spintastic clip of how to replace the door seal on a washing machine. Awesome!

Plumbing worries me.

It's not the plumbing, it's the previous plumber. Every single quarter turn isolation valve faces the wall so it's impossible to get a tool on the slot. Every motorised valve is behind the hot water cylinder, ditto.

Are they stupid? No, they just don't care as long as they walk off with your cash. Bye bye.
