That is appalling.

I hope that guy lost his job. Something, anything to teach him that his behaviour was totally unacceptable.

It's more depressing that the cops did nothing. We're supposed to be encouraging cycling. Violent thugs who use their vehicle as a weapon and threaten you "Rip your fxxxcking head off" could be described as likely to discourage cyclists.

Shocking driving, you might want to report that to Operation Crackdown - I've had some reasonable success with them sending letters to similar idiots, and apparently if a car gets enough warnings they get a visit from the plod. You don't have to send them the video if you don't want them to know about the choice language, screenshots should be plenty...

Is there any use of language that is deemed unacceptable when you honestly felt as if your life was in danger ?
When a truck that big nearly kills you then feel free to curse all day long.

The driver of the truck was lucky not to get a smack in the gob.

todays 25 mile loop video has five incidents of passing way to close...4 of them trucks/vans...I mean CLOSE. It also has several hundred average passes and 2 really good ones. Thing is it only takes one muppet to kill me.

One big thing cars/truck drivers take for granted is the state of the road, especially near the kerb where the average car/lorry driver would want us to ride is usually unrideable (I lost count how many that chap went passed down that road), even speaking to my work colleagues about bike riders a common complaint is we ride to far over from the kerb, once you explain our difficulties they usually say its something the have never thought about!

Nothing at all? I can't believe that, really? What happened next?

Between August 2007 and January 2010 Operation Crackdown received 59717 reports. This has generated 13923 letters of advice, 292 uninsured vehicles have been seized, 352 warnings/seizures have been issued to drivers for anti social driving and 79 drivers have been arrested

Seen this? Not my clip, B P Mitchell employ violent thugs:

That was absolutely terrible. B.P Mitchell seems a medium sized company, I would have thought they would view a video like this with concern. Especially as their website seems to indicate FORs and ISO accreditation and their clients include the public sector. Do you know if they were contacted?

As usual, I note that the intimidation and dangerously close pass resulted in them joining the end of a traffic queue slightly earlier.

If the company doesn't care then this type of behavior needs to be flagged to organisations like TfL. It makes a mockery of schemes like FORs if the company doesn't act on this type of dangerous driving.

On my 25 mile return-trip commute, using last year's route down part of the A281, which I've not used this year, only five passes too close would be a good day. Hence the change of route this year. Though to be fair I was getting a lot more really good ones. And a week would not go by without verbal abuse or horn honking. Of course it all stops if you gutter hug and "get out of the way!"

It's Sussex. They nearly all drive like numpties with a huge sense of entitlement.

It's all very well cyclists being told to use primary position and be at least a metre from the kerb, but these video's show drivers thinking it's purely to wind them up. It would be nice if they knew too.

How many driver have you come across that think you should be as close to the kerb as possible and think the Highway Code says so?

I would go as far to say there should be a national advertising campaign TV etc highlighting this just to bring it to the front of peoples mind, and educate the masses (were not on the road to aggravate car/van/lorry drivers) what with the new found enthusiasm for cycling that has gripped the country
