Today's pie

Is a spinach and potato pie. It's oven fresh and just about cool enough to take to work. I woke up early and made it to relieve the boredom of having a couple of hours to kill before setting off for work.

I have been tasked with making a gluten-free rhubarb pie.. I need to find the small shop in "Artisan Row" near the next village's railway station and talk the lady about the flour stuffs. Much as I shun "shop bought" pastry in this instance if they have ready made I will most likely cave to my shame.

Even the thought of the latter makes me feel

Makes me feel too but have the brother & nephew visiting and they have to be gluten free - no vegan needed but gluten free needed (apples & mushroom free too)

No they would just be as I understand it very ill with very painful tummies.....

I would never be trusted again as it is I swear my brother thinks my children are feral & I am an irresponsible parent. I mean I let them run around naked and get dirty and stopped sterilising their baby stuff when I caught them "sharing" nicely with the dog.... I don't take them to the Doctor for every sniffle and on occasions I give them sweets & chocolate, I also use the 10 second rule for stuff dropped on the floor - I am a thoroughly un-fit parent and was only just allowed to have his eldest on his own for a whole hour last year (the nephew is 8!) and even then I received an instruction list that I am sure (had I read it) would have rivaled how to launch a nuclear weapon on length & detail!

He reads all "the books" we have a lot of "the book says" he did not take kindly when My Mum said but have the children read the books?
