hmm, hear what you're saying but we have 2 friends who are allegedly gluten intolerant, but both will happily scoff normal stuff if necessary, and it doesn't appear to have any major consequences. Or if it does it can't be that bad, because they both keep eating normal stuff too ....

All in all the pie was a resounding success. One or two colleagues seem destined to miss out as they are either off site or on a day off when I bring a pie in. Still - it leaves more for me.

There are those for whom a food intolerance or two is a fashion statement and there are those who are genuinely afflicted. Knowing the genuine cases, I've witnessed the ill effects of them flouting their diet restrictions. I'd rather they stuck to gluten free rather than them share their intestinal gasses with all and sundry and not hog the toilet(s). I'm so glad to be tolerent of all foods apart from blue cheese and that's a psychological intolerance.
