If I had a pound everytime someone did that to me where I live I would be Rich.. Rich.. Rich.. I tell you. There is a certain type of driver who does this and unfortunatly all of them drive in Peterborough

Yes, I know i've mentioned this before, but there is clearly a market for a bike mounted weapon system that uses rotten food for ammunition

Something like this maybe?

I'm always weary of the Chalkwell Avenue descent, and seem to get caught at both set of lights

I'll have to keep an eye out on your videos in case I make an appearance in the mean streets of Southend-on-sea

I'll either be in the blue Orbea Onix or Giant SCR but sometimes in the "courteous to cyclists" Grey S-Max

Being a fellow southender (and Shrimper) have you used the new bike shop n Southchurch Rd ?

Considering taking my Puegeot in there to get it back on the road rather than do it myself (20 quid for a service and no extra labour to fit anything I buy there , tyres etc)

Sorry to hijack the thread....

frankly, i think they saw you, but i think a lot of car drivers have got into the habit of treating both lanes seperately.

they move out into the first lane and make the assumption traffic will just stop because theyre in front of you.. they then seperately move into the 2nd lane..

essentially, what you might do if the traffic was horrendous but instead they just do it all the time..

however, they don't change this behaviour with a cyclist, because they have no concept that

1.your brakes arent as good as a car driver
2. frankly it takes a lot of effort keeping up 20, so i dont want to brake just because you want to save 10 seconds at a junction.

in my car i think this is poor driving, they know they're pulling out in front of you, but assume you will/can stop in time, but when cycling it's appalling..

And he, as some motorists are prone to do, misjudged your speed of approach and pulled out like an old granny!

You can make a nice stinky brew from nettles/comfrey etc steeped in a bottle of water. I once had the pleasure of hosing down a bloke in his Friday Night Pulling Suit, after he'd leaned out of his taxi window to shout some disgusting sexist language at me. He did seem surprised when I caught him up outside his pub ...
