Why when they cry ( most of the time ) do parents take them into the garden away from the people that love them so the people that dont love them have to listen to it ?

Because thats where the hose is kept, and it makes a mess indoors.

(does not apply in hosepipe ban areas)

As long as I breathe, I attack.
It's been a while since ours fully tested her lung capacity but I always found that the noise of your own sprog was far more disturbing than that of a stranger's.
I wish mine scream and shout incessantly , sometimes i lose my rag and end up shouting at them too which i dont like doing , like yesterday after 3 hours sleep coming off night shift dealing with 2 kids with continual trying to kill each other .

This abhorrent practice doesn’t happen in Somerset. We still have coal sheds.

And when they are older: Guss and crooks.

My granddaughter actually has a certificate for producing the most ear piercing squeal whilst descending on a zip wire....

This skill was learned whilst traversing the Toddler years.
She’s grown out of it now, fortunately

We have one near us that screams in the garden all the time. I don't really mind - one of mine used to scream a lot and there really is nothing to be done but grit your teeth and wait for them to grow out of it. I just wish that the parents wouldn't yell back at her at full volume - it's really not helping.

I've just had my dinner in the garden. Peace and quiet while the three toddler grandkids inside scream, throw tantrums or complain that he/she got something that he/she didn't.

Are you sure you don't have the same neighbour as me? Joking apart, a neighbour who sort of obliquely backs onto us have a couple of girls aged about 4 or so. The volume level is quite incredible and they can keep it up for 8 hours a day. It's not crying, it's just playing, which is fine, but after several hours of it with no volume modulation it's a bit much.

Ok so now there is a toy that sings nursery rimes . Fair enough but it is constant so they have put that in the garden as well . I have now joined the earphone connected to phone club .
London bridge is falling down can tend to get annoying

I must be the luckiest dad/grandad in town, All around me I hear kids whining and screaming but all my grandkids have been awesome, even my son's step who at 2 years old when he came into our family deeply concerned us with his behaviour but a bit of tenacity and hard work...and lots of play and love, that concerning behaviour has slowly changed . Yes he's a handful, yes he's OTT sometimes but he's 4...but tantrums are long gone.
All our grandkids have given immense pleasure and virtually no bad behaviour.
The effort you put into your kids pays back long after they've grown up, it hopefully passes into the next generation.

This is so true & the kids of today bringing up kids don't seem to understand this, (wide sweeping statement I know)
