I dont know I'm afraid. As soon as I got used to my straps and they started fraying, I went clipless.

SPD's if you're interested.

I use clips and straps most of the time, and always use leather. Tried nylon and another substitute but neither worked as well.

SJS do (or did) some good ones.

Definitely has to be leather. It lasts longer and has the advatage of keeping it's shape and is therefore easy to get into.

I've ordered the 'basic leather straps' from them but in a month or three when £££'s allow I can see myself getting some of their pedals too, very nice^_^

Ordered Tues evening, arrived today^_^

Little shorter than the outgoing nylon ones but still seem to fit well. Also the receipt had a handwritten 'Many thanks wiggy*, Jo' which was nice. Think I will upgrade my ugly metal/plastic pedal/clip combo to something off their site:thumbsup:

*They actually used my real name though lol

Junk-em they are soooo last week. I used to wear them in the 1970's and did't like em then. You can get through a good few 1000 miles on spd's and the ilk. I can't believe they are still in use. They are akin to a betamax video recorder.

When the nylon straps on my pedals wore through they fell of and I just kept on cycling, that was thousands of miles ago, the plastic clippy thing is enough to keep my feet in place without straps.
