My downstairs loo is twinned with somewhere in Tanzania. Quite a few friends have signed up after paying a call.

My parent’s toilet is twinned.
It’s a great idea. A bit like adopting a panda.

We went to the Ugly House at Bettws y Coed last year - the toilet near the house was out of use, so a short walk up a hill gave the alternative of a 'composting toilet'
My Wife didn't like it at all. I agreed with her.
Many people commented on a review site that the composting toilet was great—it seemed in a sort of 'eco' way.
Until then, I thought everyone had accepted the better sanitation we had adopted over centuries was superior to dysentery etc we had left behind (no pun intended)

Surprised to find Mrs D knew of this. Turns out one of the schools she used to be responsible for had twinned a loo as a sort of memorial when a beloved head teacher retired.

Having found the open pipework into the drains due to the missing toilets, a Police spokesperson said "They were looking into it"

My parents have one of those: their privvy is twinned with a rather dodgy looking one in the Congo.

I often wondered if there's a picture of my parent's toilet inside for Congolese locals to contemplate.
