No question some of the winds up there will be ferocious so no need to suspect vandalism.
I can report that the memorial is now back as it should be.
Have just spent 5 very hot days cycling, based at the excellent Veloventoux again. This was on the Sunday, it was very very busy and very very hot on the Bedoin route. Did the Sault route on Wednesday which was much quieter, and the weather had cooled a little. Also rode the Gorges De La Nesque this time which has spectacular views.
