No, but I avoid all solenaceous foods because of the arthritis. It's nothing to do with snobbery! I don't mind ketchup, as condiments go, can take it or leave it.

Don't like ketchup, brown sauce, mayo, or anything similar.

The stench of vinegary sweetness makes me want to gag. I struggle to be in the same room as anyone using these vile concoctions.

I agree with this but it's very good on cheese on toast.

I'm as common as they come, and I didn't go to grammar school but I think it's horrible stuff.
If the target food item can really be enhanced by adding that muck to it, simply buy higher quality food items in the first place. Job done

I'm partial to the missus home made sauce and HP is not bad...1/2 went to grammer school ( for my A levels)
Can remember having to have hammonds sauce on bread for lunch when we were kids (now thats a Poor family)

When my dad was a kid he and his mates used to climb over the sauce factory wall and sail wooden rafts on huge vats of brown sauce their eyes streaming, coughing their lungs up and risking a fate worse than quicksand death...

My kids had a hallowe'en party two years ago which for some reason had a headless corpse in the bath, covered in about half a bottle of the red stuff. I had to clear it up the next day by which time it had gone off and smelt disgusting. I have not been able to face it since.

When we first moved to NL my daughter asked why her chips had been smothered in "white ketchup".

If I use tom. sauce it has to be Heinz and nothing else. Other ketchups are a bit vinegary. I do prefer H P though.
