Was in two minds - there's a club ride planned but promises the last 30 miles in rain, across the Fens into headwinds gusting to 39mph. Then old friends rang and arranged to pop round tomorrow morning, so dilemma solved - but sadly I miss out on the first ride of the year

The only thing you have to watch out for in RP is London Dynorod on their selfish trawl. Mind out for the cops at the foot of Sawyers Hill...just as you enter the 40s!

Red wine and real ale flowing, washing down a splendid curry and excellent company. A very nice bottle of Cava in the fridge for later so I've decided tomorrow will be a recovery (in more ways than one) day.

Probably off over to my parents again. Haven't been over since Saturday so suspect there is a list of things that need doing, so a 40-50 mile ride assuming I take a variation on the out route (which is the current plan) and come home via the direct route (after dark...)

Yep, hope to set off about 9-10am and get 50 miles or so in Might even pop over the border to say hello to England.

Slightly cut short the planned route and did 45 miles, still managed to pop over to say Happy New Year to Englandshire - arrived home with just enough time to wash my bike before the rain arrived

Going to pootle over to Ripley Castle (only 3 - 4 miles) and watch the cyclocross. Might come back a long way round depending on the weather (and if I'm hungover!)

Rode home through the woods and in the driving rain to give myself the authentic muddy experience!

Club ride tomorrow is to the Kingsbury Water Park, I'm hoping to do a short lone ride out and see who managed to get out.

Unfortunately rain stopped play, looks like my first ride of the year will be tomorrows commute, if it stops raining.
