Anybody ancient enough to have had sweetbreads?. Here is a link, but the squeamish might wish to stay away.

I think we were served some pancreas at school once. We were forced to eat everything. It looked quite alarming.

Ox heart anyone?

I'm old enough to have been offered it. I declined because I though sweetbreads were testicles

I don't do ox heart but enjoy stuffed lambs' hearts.

I will eat almost anything except celery or tripe. My mum was a great one for edible experimentation with different parts of animals, and I was the only one of my siblings who would join her in her exploits (my dad wouldn't either). So, I enjoyed (as a kid) liver, hearts, trotters, brains, tongue etc etc. Lovely stuff, but tripe didn't go down too well. Can't get anyone to join me in these delicacies these days...

There is was a liver and kidney curry served up at a Shababs in Leeds but I'd never been able to bring myself to buy it knowing how cheap the ingredients were. I've just checked the online menu and it seems to have disappeared. However I've found a liver and kidney curry recipe online. It claims to be a 20 minute recipe. I'll investigate it next week. I'm livered out this week. Three nights in a row - need a change.

I investigated it tonight - I couldn't resist.

I wasn't impressed.

It was adequate but not a recipe that I'd use again.

I thought that I might feel offal after so much liver but I'm pleasantly surprised.
