Well, after a very poorly few days earlier this week, my lad is on the mend.
Providing his blood-oxygen level stays above 88% overnight without oxygen, then he'll be home tomorrow.
He went in early Monday with double pneumonia and was very unwell until Wednesday when he improved a little. Thankfully this has accelerated over the last few days with the milestones being off the IV antibiotics yesterday and off oxygen late last night.
I had mentioned he was in hospital on a thread re @fossyant Jr (sorry for the inadvertent hijack Fossy) earlier this week.
Tbh we have been lucky as kids with Downs are very prone to chest infections, however this was his very first and he's 10.
Our family have been great in supporting with babysitting our other two (7&8) kids.
Thankfully the hospital stays for my lad since he was 3 are few and far between as I had forgotten just how exhausting they were - I was doing nights with Mrs at covering days while I tried to get to work, with us swapping over on Friday tea time.
So, v happy he's really on the mend and tomorrow hopefully the last family juggling day for some time.
