Why do helmet cammers always manufacture incidents where there isn't eally one?

In the defence of the driver. It is a right hand drive van with massive blind spots and in my opinion, it is just the sort of thing to watch out for. The cyclist was not cycling in a defensive manner, but had 'presumed' he had been spotted.

Well each to their own but I don't support it. We can all recognise idiot driving but I doubt I'd recognise/remember the number plate if I saw it out and about.

The courts probably will. If, God forbid, a driver exposed as a casual idiot on Youtube ends up killing someone. Trail of evidence innit.

I take your point and can see a small potential for something good to come of it but would it be used as evidence in court? And more importantly is it reason enough for us to turn into amateur surveillance machines? In my mind, no.

Oh - nearly had a head on with a cyclist this morning cos I was "blinded by the sun". My fault.

I had a bit of a 6th sense moment - was actually simultaneously thinking "if another cyclist was heading towards me at this moment I couldn't see them".

Assume this is tongue in cheek! I really can't see that cyclist should be on the look out for parked vans with big blind spots (as well as peds, potholes, puddles, oil on the road, cars pulling in front of them, cars pulling out on them, buses doing that, car doors opening into them, red lights, amber lights, the sun, the moon, other cyclists, motorbikes). I know of someone who did a u-turn like that and a motorcyclist went over the bonnet and died. Guy got sent down for dangerous driving.

Well at least Wiltshire police are doing their best to discourage reporting of anything.
Before they would send a form out, that would be filled in and returned so they could decide if it's worth their time.
Now, I have to visit the "Fortress of Solitude", the police "wisely" decided to move the station from the town centre, where most of the trouble is, to the outskirts of town almost in Oxfordshire, where I need to fill out the same form:headshake: .
