Too subtle, apparently.
Browsers (IE, Chrome, Firefox etc) cache images. That means that if you visit 30 different threads on CC, you will only download the CC logo once, not 30 times. This makes the pages load quicker and uses less bandwidth. But it also means that if an image changes, not everyone sees the new image at the same time.
The snow logo is gone. If you clear images from your browser (or do a force reload eg ctrl-f5 in some browsers) you will see the snow free logo again.
