I'm the exact opposite to all of you.
Being very very Scottish / Irish I must go through the following process before tanning.
From the blue of freezing cold to milk bottle white.
Milk bottle white to lobster red sunburn.
Lobster red has to subside a little to slightly red.
Slightly red sometimes leads to a mild tan.
That's as good as it gets really.
This is me, too. I have a friend.
Except not the scottish bit. Funnily enough the most tanned i have ever been is when i lived in Scotland! Dundee to be precise.
