I'm going on a 2 week tour in August doing the Grand traverse of the Alps and i'm wondering what tools i need or can anyone suggest a tool kit

Thanks

What I'd take is :-
A multitool
Tyre levers
Puncture kit
Decent pump
Spare tubes
Powerlink for your chain

Something like this from Wiggle ticks most of the boxes.

Edit - not being funny, but if you don't know what tools you might need for a tour, is a fortnight in the Alps maybe a tad ambitious?

It all depends on one's mind set:

Prepared for all eventualities vs day ride tool kit and a bit

The difficulty lies in more on deciding what not to take rather than what to take.

Anne Mustoe has travelled the world on her bike and written several books on the subject.

She has never learnt how to fix a puncture !

I'd add a red Spokey to TheDoctor's list as well as inner tube patches and a Park Tyre boot.

A woman might be able to get away with not learning how to fix a puncture but I don't think a man would...
