It may be my unreliable memory but I'm sure this question came up on CC a few months ago. The consensus then seemed to be that the Topeak was the one to go for. So I got one. It has a hose, like the Lezyne, so the breaking valve heads should not be an issue, it gets up to 120psi with ease when you use the foot lever which makes it like a one-footed track pump, and it seems well made.

Curiously, I've had very few visitations since I got it - it's had more use by other people than by me. It's too early to tell whether it has magical powers, of course.

I reckon, judging by the recommendations above, that they're both good pumps at similar prices and weights - so you can go different but you won't go wrong.

A third option you might want to consider: Edinburgh Bike Co-Op's Revolution Air Mini. Bought it on the recommendation of Cycling Plus (4.5 stars) and I can only agree with their endorsement. It's proved its worth several times on FNRttCs and other rides- if you need to switch between Presta and Schrader valves it's a bit of a faff, but I don't. Very effective, even for the less muscly-armed (like me!!), when it's been needed it's done the job quickly. Not the smallest thing to carry around, but it's worth it.

Either. I went for the Road Morph G and it's been great; no problems getting the pressures back up to +100psi after a flat. (I normally use a track pump at home and was a bit surprise at how good the Morph G is). The Lezyne seemed pretty comparable but the other Topeak stuff I have (Track pump, Mountain Morph) have been very good so that was the decider for me.

Thanks for the replies guys.

As this will be a pump that I would put on the bike, I can't help but think that the road morph is a bit ugly looking?

Opinions on this? As if the lezyne performs just as well, and looks much better, maybe I should go for this?

I have the Lezyne - great pump but I did have a problem when I stopped to help a guy who had Continental inner tubes (the type with removable core presta valves). I was able to repair and inflate his tube - but when I unscrewed the Lezyne it also unscrewed the valve core and let all the air back out...

I'm glad I've found this thread. I've been trying to choose a new pump to carry with me, and that will be good enough to take touring as well in the future. I'm going to get the Lezyne now.
