Don't worry, Rail Track [or whatever they're called now] have just revealed that they are closing the East Coast line for engineering work on the week-end of the Great North Run, so I would imagine they have something similar planned alongside the Tube Strike for the Olympic fortnight!
News just in... RMT've announced a 3 day train drivers' strike during Olympic fortnight.... class!
