Lovely tailwind in this morning - made the 22mph average a breeze...

I'm going to contact the Met Office to report a new type of wind, one that changes direction every time i do so it's still blowing in my face.

Loving the 'no wind' unusually present or 'unpresent' in Edinburgh of late. Realise that that will not make you feel any better at all. Sympathies ..... does that help?

I agree, it has remarkably wind free for a number of days. The ride home was a quite lovely, sunny, warm and light wind. It was going well till some prat on the Calder Road decided he wanted to be where I was. I fist on his passenger window woke him up.

I'm gettong on with it really well, the tailwinds are making me fly and the headwinds don;t seem anyting like as unpleasant as I remembet them being, drops and better legs is all I can put it down to

It's been a really pleasant change having a NE wind for me- flying in much quicker in the morning - a bit slower going home but no rush. Strange though tonight it didn't seem much of a battle at all- am I finally getting fit?!

You live in England, get the **** used to it.
Put up with rain, wind and whatever else there is, if you dont like it, drive except for the few hot/windless days we have.
If you dont want to use your car, stay on your bike and ride.

Wait till the Autumn/Spring...... wait till an industrial wheely bin blows over the road, in a hail storm.... and you only spot it at the last minute................

I have cycled in sleet and hail a few times before, stings abit.
Also been in strong wind, where your going head on into it, and it gusts and pretty much just stops you, or side on and it blows you to the middle of the road:eek:
Also been out when its started to snow, on the way to see my GF(this was before we were going out i think) not so much wind, but not so nice all the same.
Wind, is not much really, just ride into it.
If you try and keep to a certain average, then dont bother, sometimes you can try as hard as you can to go into this wind, but you just wont get anywhere.
