Not sure if this helps, but what I've noticed is when the race broadcast ends while you're pausing it, it closes the stream. Then there is a delay on the race page where the stage of the day or the race is missing. It appears a few minutes later as the VOD you can click on. At least for me on discovery+

Over forty years I've spent trying* to grow up from being twelve years old. This stage is not helping.
