I signed up for the above last night, which is due on Sunday 21st August but am not happy about the extra charges.
It cost 35.99 which is fine but then they also add 2 pounds because I am not a member of British cycling and another 3 pounds for something else which makes it 41.99 all together.
This is the first year they are adding those extra charges as I have done it 3 times before and only paid the advertised entry fee every time.
Sadly, I will not do it again next year as a matter of principle.

Really BS. They are capitalising on demand. It is already sold out. Initially I thought it was one of the community events with volunteers. On going thru their website, it is sophisticated setup and highly commercialised. And they are throwing around "community", "charity" and "volunteer" quite liberally.

Always befuddles me when there are volunteers at these commercially run enterprises.

You must be joking, at my age? The Bach is my limit: 46 miles. I was a bit disapointed with the reward this year as it wasn't a medal. I enjoyed the ride though: 3h36 to complete compared to 3h29 last year. Getting older doesn't help.
