The good news is that the hole must be sorted, as the Tumble has been taken over by the Campervan army.

Moved down from my home County of Warwickshire, with work, to West Somerset, where I still live (and cycle 😉)

The dunkery beacon end . Bridgewater is strange place . Give it props historically as being the centre of the anti slavery movement. There's a large fruit machine arcade there that's obviously a money laundering business

Commentator pointed out teh stage was obliged to have a KOM point somewhere so that molehill was the best they could do. it was more a case of intermediate sprint and intermediate slightly uphill sprint.

I refuse to believe it was the best they could do, knowing they cycled past within metres of Watsons hill on Wednesday, and on Tuesday (not withstanding theyve used the climb out of Snape before) they had routed back as far as Bromeswell towards Melton, had they carried on just a bit further and taken a left at the roundabout theres a steep hill up past Sutton Hoo, and then they could have routed around back to Butley and it wouldnt have added much to the overall distance of the stages.

I just dont think the route planners know the area well enough, and just follow NCN or local cycling mapped routes most of which avoid the steeper bits. Plus with an intention of creating a sprint finish and back load changes in the GC later on in the race as the time gaps are so small early on, which they then brand as an exciting race, theres no incentive to create difficult stages.
