The favourites didn’t race harder enough up the final hill. They somehow held all but a few seconds of their lead at the foot of the climb to about 1km to go. Ridiculously close in the end.

They must have doubled up on the road closure today as that finish line was part of the 1st and final km of the Cardiff 10k this morning

well he got fined, lost some points, Im sure the other riders told him what they thought of him doing it. hopefully he apologised to Rondel later. they were never going to dock him time. and it was a bit blink and you missed it, just happened to be caught on camera.

there was some unfriendly pushing and shoving post finish stage 1 I saw with a couple of riders who werent happy about something one of them did in the finish sprint but it didnt get picked up from what I can tell so nothing happened when they could easily have been given the same kind of fine.

I was watching that coverage on my phone until they were about 5 minutes away (from right next to the KoM point on Caerphilly mountain)

They got very close going up the hill, there was less than 10 seconds at the top, but then stretched it out a bit again on the descent.
